Debuting our First Firetruck Pull!!  Pulling a firetruck - with a rope - by hand!

Gather your strongest friends or local fire department crew to compete in this strongman and woman competition.

**History**  

The Schwartz Family launched this festival 15 years ago. Enos Schwartz, among the 12 siblings, envisioned the restaurant as a celebration venue. Daughter Meriam (Schwartz) Kleaving remembers, "Enos was the driving force behind the festival, even building the music stage and playground structure from hand-cut lumber. It’s really about giving back to the community.”

 

**Family Focus**  

This alcohol-free festival offers free admission and activities for kids, including a designated play area featuring a hay maze, bounce houses, a corn playpen, and a bubble tent.  Face painting, pumpkin picking, and hayrides are available for a small fee.

 

**Big Family Support**  (50 Schwartz Family Members and Growing)

You see most members of the Schwartz family at the event—from erecting the large outdoor tent and staffing the kitchen to grandkids cleaning bounce houses. You’ll even find the owner, Joe Schwartz, playing on stage with fellow musicians who play regularly at the restaurant on Thursday evenings.

 

**New Event - Firetruck Pull**  

This year’s festival will still feature original activities such as fireworks, music, and homemade food. This year the local English volunteer fire department suggested adding a Firetruck Pull Competition, where teams will pull a fully loaded firetruck 50 feet. Each team will participate in 2 rounds, and the team with the shortest average time wins. The event is open to the public (male and female teams). Gather your fire department, gym buddies, coworkers, or old football teammates to join the fun and win prizes.
